A little preparation helps everyone know who to call. Save your regular veterinarian, the nearest emergency clinic and a trusted backup caregiver in your phone and somewhere visible at home. Include your pet鈥檚 name, species, age, medications, allergies and microchip details.
Keep a small go-bag ready
Store a carrier or leash, a few days of familiar food, water, waste bags, basic records and a recent photo where you can find them. Check supplies occasionally and replace anything expired. If you travel, save local veterinary contacts before you leave.
